EARTHWORK AND SITE WORK

RAI utilizes numerous earthwork crews, supported by a large, modern fleet of earthwork equipment and the latest technology as the foundation for the work we perform.  Most of our superintendents have decades of earthwork and site work experience, and they know how to build projects both large and small.  The combination of a modern fleet of equipment and technology, and the experienced people to supervise our work, enables us to deliver projects in a timely, cost-efficient manner.

HOT MIX PAVING

RAI built its first hot mix plant in 1959 to provide hot mix asphalt for small paving projects in San Angelo.  Today, RAI provides hot mix paving services for private and governmental clients through its extensive network of permanent and portable hot mix plants and paving crews.  From driveways to highways, RAI serves all of our client's hot mix and paving needs.

CONCRETE PAVING AND STRUCTURES

RAI has self-performed most of its own curb and gutter, sidewalk, culverts, and small concrete paving projects for more than 30 years.  Through the acquisition of Knight Construction, Inc. in 2004, RAI expanded our capabilities to include large concrete paving, structures, and bridge construction services.  RAI now has the ability to self-perform all concrete paving and structures needs of our clients.

UNDERGROUND UTILITIES

RAI has self-performed water, sewer, and storm water utility construction for all types of commercial developments and governmental projects for more than 30 years.  Through our in-house surveying and engineering personnel, we work closely with all outside owner and engineer representatives to provide the end product required for each individual project.

DESIGN-BUILD

RAI and CSA are involved in ongoing design-build projects throughout West Texas.  When appropriate, the design-build project delivery system can benefit the client through the streamlining of engineering design and construction.  RAI and CSA, along with our in-house engineering capabilities and engineering firm partners, are capable of forming teams that are tailor-made to meet your project needs.  We believe in the design-build concept, and we welcome any design-build opportunities.

TEST TRACKS

Among our many clients in the private and public sector, we are proud to include all of the Texas-based tire and vehicle testing facilities, including Goodyear, Bridgestone-Firestone, Continental-General Tire, North American Rubber Inc (NARI - the parent company of Cooper Tire), as well as the Federal Highway and Transportation Agency's DOT tire certification facility in San Angelo, Texas, and the Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. (TMMTX) test track facility in San Antonio.

We entered into work with the tire and vehicle testing industry over 30 years ago at the Goodyear Proving Grounds near San Angelo, and we continue to provide our customers our unique services required for their demanding, tight-tolerance projects.  RAI has developed a solid system of construction and engineering support to provide our clients an end product that meets these unique and demanding requirements.  This is reinforced with a company mentality of "doing whatever it takes" to meet the client's needs, and our ability to stand behind our products.
